Gay Paris Tour + Amsterdam - 12 Days Itinerary

Day 1, Sat
Depart the USA for your overnight flight to Paris France.

Day 2, Sun
Arrival in Paris, France. The day is free to rest or to start exploring the splendid French capital. At 7 p.m. meet your Tour Director and traveling companions and leave the hotel for a casual dinner at a restaurant in the Marai (dinner not included). After dinner you may wish to join an optional outing to get a first impression of the Marai area and the City of Lights.

Day 3, Mon
After breakfast at your hotel, we board a panoramic tour of Paris. View the principal landmarks of the city, beginning with Place des Pyramides and continuing to the Opéra, Place Vendôme, Concorde Square, Champs-Elysées Avenue, Arch of Triumph and the Eiffel Tower. Pass by the Invalides, Orsay Museum, The Grand Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Sorbonne, Pantheon Church and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4, Tue
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a tour of the Louvre Museum. This Louvre walking tour begins with a stroll through the commercial area outside the Louvre, and continues inside. Of the many exhibits found therein, don't miss the medieval fortress, the modern pyramid, the Egyptian Department, and some of the museum's most reputed masterpieces, including Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Lunch at the Louve (optional), and a walking tour to the Place de L'Opera, including a tour inside the magnificent and newly renovated Paris Opera house.

Day 5, Wed
After breakfast at your hotel, a morning walking tour of Les Halles, the Hotel de Ville, and Place De Voge in the Marai.  Later Join us for a tour inside the Notre-Dame Cathedral or explore the city on your own. Your guide will be happy to provide you with suggestions and recommendations. Anything from shopping to dining to gay spots - your guide is your source.

Day 6, Thu
After breakfast at your hotel, Join our excursion to Versailles. Relive the glorious period of Louis XIV, XV and XVI as you pace one of the largest and most influential formal gardens in the world. Today's half day "go as you please" tour of Versailles allows you to visit the Palace and State Apartments at your own pace. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens designed by Andre le Notre. Afternoon walk along Champs-Elysées Avenue from the Louvre Palace to  Arch of Triumph.

Day 7, Fri
After breakfast at your hotel, we tour the left bank, the Latin Quarter, St. Michelle and San German, and visit the Orsay Museum (our favorite in Paris). Lunch at a famous creperie is included! Later discover the Garden Du Luxenburge, and take a boat ride to the Eiffel Tower. A ride up to the top is included and features amazing views of the city.

Day 8, Sat
After breakfast at your hotel, join your guide on a morning tour to Montmartre. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Your guide will be happy to provide you with suggestions and recommendations.

Day 9, Sun
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer independently to the train station (Gare Du Nord) for your rail trip trip to Amsterdam in First class (about 3 hours ride).
Arrive in Amsterdam and transfer independently to your hotel. Evening is free to explore this gay Mecca.

Day 10, Mon & Day 11 Tue
After breakfast at your hotel, free days to explore the city on your own. Your guide in Paris will provide you with suggestions and recommendations.

Day 12, Wed
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
(Arrive home later that day)
Visas:
American & Canadian passport holders are NOT required to have visas to enter France, Holland or the UK for tourism purposes. A valid passport is required.

Currency and Money Issues:
It is very easy to withdraw money from ATMs located throughout Europe as well as to use your credit card. Travelers checks are also accepted.
Euro is the official currency.
